With leaves gone, the activity closer to

Connecticut Ave, and the mound of dirt on the

Connecticut Ave side removed, the photos and

videos are much more informative… and more

interesting.

☆ YouTube Video - Air horn instead of rooster.

At 7:03A on a Saturday morning, the

neighborhood was awaked by the blast of an air

horn, and by 7:10A there were nine dump trucks

on site. They represented over a hundred dump

truck loads that left the site today. And the

backhoe and dump trucks were the only

equipment working on a Saturday. (1:31 Min)

- YouTube Video - No Lolligaging Today

- YouTube Video - Early to bed and early to rise,

sure helps you manage construction surprise.

Again at 7:01A, the large backhoe was grinding

and beeping. [No, there was not an earthquake,

just a curious cat inspecting the webcam.] Today,

the backhoe worked in the southeast corner filling

a stream of dump trucks; the Jurassic Giraffe and

pilot-fish bulldozer worked in the northwest corner

(in left corner box); and the forklift moved i-

beams across the site. (1:20 min)

☆ YouTube Video - Jurassic Giraffe Happy Dance

The Jurassic Giraffe (aka post hole digger/pile

driver) came downstage today to give the

webcam it’s first good look at the happy dance

that was happening the last two weeks along

Kanawha St. Dig a hole, shake out the dirt, dig

some more, shake out the dirt, put in an i-beam,

fill with cement. The small bulldozer acted like a

pilot fish, cleaning away the dirt the Jurassic

Giraffe dug out. (1:04 min)

Promptly at 7A the big backhoe was a work --

with all accompanying engine roar and back-up

beeps -- spreading gravel on north east quadrant.

Activity spread throughout the worksite with all

equipment busy most of the day. Work started

early and ended late.
