- Video - Back to Work

- The backhoe started the day by disappearing

behind the Connecticut wall, digging, piling, and

preparing for a steady trickle of dump trucks that

started at 10A. The trucks were encumbered by

the process of backing from Military onto the site.

The backhoe started on time at 7A, working down

the Connecticut Ave wall, so deep the backhoe

almost disappeared from view. However by 9:30A,

the backhoe was parked, and there was no more

work on the site. Even the site manger left before

1P.

At 8A, the bull dozer cleared snow along the

Connecticut Ave wall and the southern third of

site for about fifteen minutes. At 8:45A the

backhoe worked along the Connecticut Ave wall

less than an hour then abandoned the effort.

There was no more work on site. The site

manager sat in his truck and finally left at 2:45P.
