Weatherford is located on Interstates 20 and 30, just 25 miles west of

downtown Fort Worth and 60 miles west of Dallas. Weatherford is a

demographic and economic component of the Fort Worth-Arlington Metro-

Division of the Dallas-Fort Worth MSA and is an integral part of the North

Central Texas economy. Weatherford is located 220 miles north of Austin

and 300 northwest of Houston.

This strategic location allows Weatherford to retain its distinct historical

and western heritage while still being a contributing part of the urban

Metroplex. Weatherford is an “Exurban” Community – a growing rural

community with an established economy with growth tied to a large MSA/

Metroplex – and is an emerging regional shopping center of the western

Metroplex. Weatherford’s location has proven desirable for new business and

residential development and growth. (Transportation)

community to the western Metroplex, as over 45 percent of the resident labor

Methane Gas

The first thing to do is make sure the smell is sewer gas—usually a rotten egg smell—and not a

natural gas smell, which usually smells like a skunk.

If you think it’s a natural gas smell, call your natural gas company immediately. If it’s anything but a

very faint smell, evacuate the building and wait for the gas company to give you an all clear. A natural

gas leak can lead to a violent explosion. (Natural gas is odorless; the skunk odor is actually a

chemical called a mercaptan that is added to warn us of the danger.) http://www.atlenv.com/i-think-i-
