This week has been a testament to man’s
machines. Not only is man more productive with
machines, but visually he appears more productive
with machines. It is easy to anthropomorphize and
attribute the productivity to the machines
themselves. A four to six man crew worked on the
retaining walls all week sans Christmas. In
addition, a crew -- not confirmed as associated
with 5333 -- worked on the south side Kanawha
gutter at Connecticut and Kanawha. However, the
only time the site appeared productive is when
the forklift moved supplies, the backhoes briefly
tidied the site, and to a lesser extent the
retaining-wall-hole-poker machine worked on the
retaining walls. There was no spectacle of dump
trucks removing the site.

Same activity but even less intensity than the
rest of the week.

Baby backhoe spent the early morning digging
down the northwest retaining walls. A white, full-
jumpsuit with orange helmut (regulatory or
management) investigated around site all day; he
can be seen milling down front starting early the
first half of the day and milling to the right side of
of screen the second half of the day. Off camera,
work on the Kanawha gutter continued. Another in
a queue of visually uninteresting workday this
week. (3:02 min)

Visually unappealing day of work on the retaining
walls.

Merry Christmas! (Bah humbug to the PC Police.)
Tuesday, 24 December, 2013
Today, everybody danced to one song -- but most
of the day four crew worked on the retaining walls
and work stopped at noon.
Monday, 23 December, 2013
Three to four crew “puttered” around the site in
the rain or drizzle, working on the retaining wall
and powering up the forklift and baby backhoe to
move supplies.
