Cement continued on the fifth level and the gang

form continued to grow for the sixth level.

•  Friday, 15 August, 2014

The floor gang form for the sixth level was

extended from the South side, and across the

middle of the site. This new level offers a good

study of the legs and underside of the floor gang

forms. Column forms were erected on the North

side. The Blog also realized that the 5333 crane

swings into the air space above the Chevy Chase

Towers apartment building at 5323 Connecticut

Ave.

• Thursday, 14 August, 2014

The floor gang form for the sixth level was started

on the South side, while the North side was being

prepare for cement.

• Wednesday, 13 August, 2014

A busy day of preparing the fifth level for cement

and completing more pillars for the sixth level.

• Tuesday, 12 August, 2014

Heavy rain from 9A to 3P curtailed major activity

but not all. A few crew in long, yellow slickers

worked through a steady rain and several deluges

to provide drainage, and a few more crew

attended to duties in the covered levels

• Monday, 11 August, 2014

Today was weaving wire and rebar and preparing

the fifth level for cement. And the sixth level was

started with new cement pillars on the Southwest

side of the fifth level.
