- Today was all cement. A few crew worked in
other parts of the site, but most of the crew
transferred the cement from a steady stream of
cement trucks and managed the cement into a
concrete cover for the north side of the site. The
video is slow and long [quicken with your browser]
but does a good job of capturing the manual-labor
intensive work -- in the heat and humidity of a DC
summer -- in a century of technology. Good thing
the site was quiet by 2P. (3:54 min)

More wall along Connecticut Ave, very close to
the street; does NOT look like the renderings. Sent
the question (Q23) to the Senior Site Supervisor

- The photos show the ground floor has reached
the Military wall, and preparations are being made
to weave the rebar and cover with concrete. The
video shows the wall, gang forms that covered
large metal sheets that covered vertical rebar to
form a full-height wall almost on Connecticut Ave.

of the building itself. The surveyor was on site and
on Connecticut Ave. (1:22 min)

wooden security fences went up around the gang
form platform in the north west corner. Rebar
weaving continued moving, north and east.

The three day site-free weekend came to a busy
halt. Center site was the tedious work of weaving
wire and rebar in preparation for concrete. On the
north side, more stilted gang forms were set up
like card tables for a party. The Senior Site
Supervisor answered a neighbor’s question about
project communications.
