What the arctic temperatures and snow could not

do, the rain did. Only the site manager was on site

today; he arrived late at 7:30A and was gone by

9A.

• Thursday, 09 January, 2014

- Video

- Another AM burst of activity almost hidden in

the far southeast corner; the dump trucks arrived

at 9:30A with a steady half hour queue. Arriving

supplies were unloaded at 10:50A. Intermittent

queues of dump trucks arrived throughout the

rest of the day as the retaining walls were

exposed lower and deeper. (1:27 min)

• Wednesday, 08 January, 2014

- Video

- We included a video of the site today because of

the sunrise in the first ten seconds of the video.

Like yesterday, there was a burst of early AM

work that slowed by 10:30A, with intermittent

flurries of dump trucks the rest of the day (1:26

min)

• Tuesday, 07 January, 2014

The arctic temperature slowed everyone and

everything today. The backhoe changed corners

and dug further down at the southwest retaining

wall, while the dozer piled dirt in the northwest

corner, with intermittent flurries of dump trucks in

both corners. In addition, crew work continued on

the retaining walls. Work started late, and all,

including the site manager, were gone by 2:48P.

• Monday, 06 January, 2014

Backhoe started the day by assisting the

retaining wall crew and digging down at the

northwest corner, and continued its work

intermittently throughout the day. Most of the

activity was the crew on the retaining wall. As

Murphy’s Law would have it, we announced the

Building Blog to the neighborhood today, and the

Live Stream promptly crashed. Had it back up in

the afternoon, but still...
